Here are few quotes from the book:
“Love is the most attractive thing in this world.” [Page 2]
“No matter into what religion you are born, you should not ignore any other religion. You should try to learn about other religions and you find that the essence is the same in every religion.” [Page 10]
“A living thing is supposed to seek.” [Page 17]
“Seeking is when within yourself you are struggling, and outside you find nothing satisfactory. This is how seeking has a double edge. In that seeking, when you are trying to get to the truth, it seems it is a very difficult thing, but you cannot help it because you are not satisfied with what exists around you.” [Page 30]
“No matter what language you understand, God’s language is of love and it is for everyone, for every person, for every case.” [Page 31]
“If you are seeking reality, if you are seeking the truth, you have to be very honest about it, extremely honest.” [Page 33]
“Now only one thing has to happen to you. It is that you have to get connected with the Divine, you have to get connected with the whole, you have to know your own meaning and you have to know your purpose.” [Page 35]
“Understand this: the experience of truth has to be felt on the central nervous system.” [Page 48]
“The truth is never confused. The truth remains the truth. It never changes. It is absolute. It is nitya. It is never changed. It remains the same. It may manifest in different forms, but it never changes.” [Page 59]
“… the truth is that God loves us.
This is the truth: he created us because he loves us. It is his love that has created us. He looks after us. He protects us. He guides. He gives us our evolution as a human being and then he gives us a higher status, a higher consciousness by which we know his powers, and the powers flow through us.
This is the truth.
This does not change.”
[Page 63]
“The ultramodern problem is how to raise your consciousness to the point where we become one with ourselves, with our spirit. Without that, you have no meaning. There is no meaning to your life. You do not know why you exist.” [Page 68]
“The power of love in its purest form is the most powerful thing and that is going to emancipate the whole universe… So this is the power which nourishes you, soothes you, consoles you, relaxes you and then leaves you powerful.” [Page 78]
“… love that makes you slave cannot be love.” [Page 79]
“We will only have peace when the peace is established on our attention. When our attention is peaceful, when we are absolutely without any thoughts, then the peace resides.” [Page 93]
“Our attention makes us tired. All the time, our attention is watching the time. What is important is to enjoy the time.” [Page 98]
“Supposing the Mother Earth was very hot like the sun, there would have been no growth. If it was cold like the moon, there also would have been no growth. The Earth had to come to the center where it had both the things in proper proportions in order to grow.
In the same way, a human being has to keep a moderation and a balance and understand not to go to extremes in anything. That balance you learn when you love someone.” [Page 113]
“When you meditate you will be surprised to find that within lies a beautiful atmosphere of such joy, such happiness and peace. Ultimately, you get the experience of joy.” [Page 156]
“Whatever may be your religion, whatever may be your caste, community or whatever may be your country, you all have to grow together and to know that you are one with each other.” [Page 156]
“The source of comfort is your spirit - and the more you see to the comfort of your spirit, the more the problems of outside comforts will drop off.” [Page 161]
“Meditation is the only way you can grow.
There is no other way out because when you meditate you are in silence, you are in thoughtless awareness. It is then that the growth of awareness takes place. It opens out.
Supposing there is a lake and the lake is completely in a turmoil, nothing can grow. Supposing it is silent, then lotuses can grow….
When you take to meditation, this turmoil will settle down. With this settling down, your growth will take place.”
